Mexico Visa Requirements

Tourist Visa

• Holders of valid USA visas (any nationality) do not require a visa for Mexico (tourist, transit, business).
• Legal Permanent Residents of USA, Canada, Japan, UK and Schengen States do not require a visa.
• Diplomatic/Official Indian passport holders: No visa required for up to 90 days.
• Officials/Clergy of Religious organizations: Require prior authorization from Instituto Nacional de Migración (INM).
• Personal presence mandatory for biometrics and interview.
• ₹500 and ₹1000 notes not accepted for consular fee.
• Embassy open Mon–Fri, closed last working day of each month.
• Passport valid for 6 months with 2 blank facing pages.
• One visa form (back-to-back print, photocopy allowed), filled and signed.
• Migration form with thumb impression at Embassy.
• One recent passport photo (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm, white background, no glasses).
• Covering letter from organization signed by competent authority.
• Confirmed return air ticket & hotel booking.
• Visas/transit visas of onward destinations if applicable.
• Proof of permanent employment (Govt/Educational/Company).
• Financial solvency proof: ITR (last 3 yrs), Bank statement (6 months), Credit card, property papers, forex endorsement.
• If dependent: Supporting financial documents required.
• All documents must match applicant’s passport name.
• Visa validity: 90 days with max 60-day stay.
• No visa issued on passports without prior visa stamps from other countries.
• Processing time: 2 working days (if documents complete).

Business Visa

• Invitation must include proof of prior contact with Mexican companies for business proposals.
• Copy of company’s legal registration + Chamber of Commerce membership (if possible).
• Copy of company’s financial statements or proof of solvency.

• All documents must match applicant’s passport name.
• No visa issued on passports without prior visa stamps from other countries.
